Our mission is to safeguard the health and wellbeing of your pet dog or cat with fully personalized, breed-specific care. Orivet was founded on the belief that each and every pet is unique, with its own set of specific traits, behaviors, genetic health needs and inherent risks. We work with pet owners, breeders and veterinarians to provide completely personalized products and services that treat and care for pets as the unique individuals they are, taking into account each pet’s genetic makeup, age, sex, location and lifestyle.

George Sofronidis

CEO & Co-Founder

George has over 30 years of dedicated experience in molecular biology and the way it can assist in areas of human and animal management. George has worked at Monash University, Melbourne University and the Zoological Parks and Gardens Board. In January 2014 he co-founded Orivet Genetic Pet care where “Genetic George” the Petrepreneur has continued to focus on innovations for breeders, veterinarians, associations, and pet owners on the benefits of DNA testing, in particular the insight it brings to all animal enthusiasts.

Dr Noam Pik

Executive Chair & Co-Founder

Noam graduated as a veterinary surgeon from Murdoch University, WA, in 1996. He gained further qualification in business management and marketing and lectured at the Koret School of Veterinary Medicine, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel before returning to Australia in 2001. Noam established the South Eastern Animal Emergency Centre in 2003 and the Veterinary Referral Hospital in 2005. He then went on to be a co-founder of Orivet in 2010 with George Sofronidis. Noam has a keen interest in delivering high quality clinically-oriented services to the veterinary community in the fields of pathology, genetics, immunology and applied bioinformatics.

Lisa Guccione

Managing Director - North America

Lisa’s career started off with a strong genetics foundation as a scientist working on next-generation functional genomics and proteomics platforms. Her 25 year career crosses several industries, such as pharmaceuticals, hospitality operations, and veterinary sciences. Since 2017 Lisa’s role at Orivet has been North American Operations Manager working at the Palm Beach office. In this time she has been able to ensure that Orivet offers the most trusted and accurate testing available to Northern American customers and that the customer experience is now unparalleled.

Gayan Jayanath

Enterprise & Business Analyst

Gayan is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in the IT industry. In his role at Orivet Gayan also leads IT Research. His role involves a comprehensive range of responsibilities, from leading development projects in animal genetics to overseeing IT operations and research initiatives. He holds a Master's degree in IT, strengthening his expertise in the field. Gayan's approach is to consistently seek opportunities to implement novel solutions in his work. His dedication to excellence and continuous learning makes him an integral part of the team at Orivet.

Elena Parling

Business Development and Marketing Executive

Elena comes to Orivet with many years of experience in the sales, marketing and clinical field working with two of the largest Global Healthcare Companies and holds an Honours Degree in Physiology from Newcastle University, UK. Working with the team to develop new partnerships and ensuring innovations are delivered and communicated to our valued customers; Elena continues to strengthen and grow Orivet relationships with our all-important Breeder community.

Nadee

Customer Success Manager

Nadee leads the Customer Service Team at Orivet. She has over 16 years experience in working with managing customer satisfaction. She ensures her team is empowered to provide the best possible support to all Orivet customers. Nadee has worked with Orivet for over five years and has a deep understanding about the company and the wide product offerings. She is totally customer focussed and able to empathize with the customer using problem solving skills along with the ability to make quick decisions. She has the ability to work under pressure without changing her calm demeanour.

Mark DesBiens

Strategic Project Coordinator - USA

With experience in theatrical and motion picture lighting and set design, writing, logistics management, business development, and healthcare Mark’s eclectic 30 year background has been a great asset to companies spanning various industries. With 15 years of experience in the medical industry, Mark recently helped logistics and administration of respiratory equipment and temporary hospital design and setup during the Covid 19 pandemic before working for Orivet. Now at Orivet for over 3 years, Mark oversees logistics in North America while also envisioning product, project, and procedure efficiencies that make Orivet North America processes more streamlined and efficient.

Nora is head of the customer service department for the Orivet North American office. She has been working for Orivet for over three years, playing a crucial role as the primary contact for our US customers. She serves as the voice of the customer, helping to provide valuable feedback and insights that have shaped Orivet into the innovative company that it is today. Nora is a customer advocate, ensuring every need is understood and met. She enjoys talking to new clients and learning more about them on a personal level, forming friendships, all while helping to educate and promote Orivet’s unparalleled products. Her pleasant disposition combined with her impressive analytical skills make her a vital addition to the team.
